who’s the brain behind putting white color grip on tennis rackets?

These white color grip get dirty so fast and easy what are they think of? Can you wash it and how? Is it even a good idea to get the grip wet or have any chemical on it?
I guess that is one good way to sell more replacement grips. I will switch it back to black next time.

you can buy it in colored. Try black or brown so it never looks dirty.

what is the most common grip for tennis players?

What are the most common? I use semi-western for groundstrokes, and continental for volleys. What is the most common?

For players on school teams and pros the semi western seems most common. For recreational players and older players the eastern grips appear to be more common, at least at our club.

How much bigger will a overgrip make a tennis racquet grip?

If you want to increase your grip size, then adding a over-grip (i.e. tourna-grip) will add 1/16 inch to your current size. So 4 1/4 will become 4 5/16. Add two layer, then 4 1/4 (example) will become 4 3/8. Don’t add more than two layers as your grip will become round.

If you want to keep your current grip size and still want to use a over-grip, then first unwrap your existing grip and re-grip it while pulling with some tension, this will reduce the grip size by a bit. Then you can apply your over-grip.

E/D/I/T: what i dont understand is when i measure my hand with a ruler, it’s well over an inch while the grip size i have to choose from is a portion of an inch… so im confused about that.

like 4 in = / = 1/2 inch… so what do i do?

when it say 1/2 inch it means 4 1/2 inch or 4 3/8 inch i would go with 4 1/2 inch even if its a little big better big then small.

How to Play Tennis – Forehand Racket Back

http://www.fuzzyyellowballs.com

The second step of the tennis forehand is to take your tennis racket back and extend your other, non-hitting, arm across your body. Having completed the pivot and shoulder turn, now you can use your hitting arm to take the tennis racket all the way back. At the same time, extend your other, non-hitting, arm across your body for balance and judgment of the tennis ball.

Who is the best tennis player to primarily use a CONTINENTAL grip?

I’m looking for a good model of a tennis player (preferably an active tennis player!) that mostly uses a continental grip during his games.

chinese_cheka, Roger doesn’t but Jimmy Connors & John McEnroe did.
It is super rare to see now except on grass so I can’t think of any player off the top of my head that uses it now.

Roger according to Wikipedia
His forehand is between a modern eastern and mild semi-western as his hand is about halfway underneath the racquet, allowing for either a flat or topspin shot. He hits through his forehand on a straighter plane and finishes his swing wrapped around his back. He also can generate extreme top-spin with the shot, allowing him to open up cross-court angles while still hitting the ball with pace. David Foster Wallace has described the exceptional speed, fluidity and brute force of this forehand motion as "a great liquid whip", while John McEnroe has referred to it as "the greatest shot in our sport" on numerous occasions. Federer plays with a one-handed backhand, which has improved over the last few years. Although critics and coaches consider his backhand as his weaker side, it has developed into one of the best in the game. He has an excellent slice which knifes through the court with great pace and throws off opponents, but can also fire great top-spin shots that seem to catch the baseline as if magnetically drawn to it.

What is the best serve and grip for the fastest tennis serve??

I’m trying new serves and grips to improve my tennis game. Please comment.

use a continental grip and try to hit a flat serve but use pronation that will give you way more power on your serve , pronation practically is moving your wrist in the last second of your serve check out pete sampras on youtube they can explain more in detail what pronation is but belive me only fast and so isnt the best thing to do all the time, theres slice, kick serve they are very hard to return when done right and if its returned its mostly just an easy winner when it gets back this are just an example tell your coach to show you some of this serves
