Is it the right time to change the grip on my tennis racket?

I have a tennis match tomorrow and my grip is wearing away. The black outer layer has worn away to show the second fabric layer but still has some grip. I have a Wilson True Grip but I don’t want to change as I may not be used to it for the game. Change or keep? Thanks

Change it. Ask yourself this, the feeling of the a new grip or an old worn-out grip. Go with the new grip, it’ll feel nicer and you’ll perform better. Grip change is very minor, sometimes I have two different rolls of Wilson Pro Overgrip or Babolat VS Syntec. Regardless, if it’s old lost colour and feel, it’s gotta go.

if you are going to use it for the tennis match tomorrow…change it because you will be able to hold it easier and tighter. If you are not going to use it for tomorrow than you do not need to change it.
Good luck on your match! :D
